- ¼ tsp salt
- ½ cup (120ml) lukewarm water
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil or melted butter
- ½ tsp vinegar
Filling
- 4 medium apples, peeled, cored, and thinly sliced
- ¼ cup (50g) sugar
- ½ cup (75g) raisins
- ½ tsp ground cinnamon
- ½ cup (50g) chopped walnuts (optional)
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 4 tbsp butter, melted (for brushing)
- 6 sheets phyllo dough (if not making homemade dough)

Instructions
- In a bowl, mix flour and salt. Add water, oil, and vinegar. Knead for 10 minutes until smooth, cover, and let rest for 30 minutes.
- In a bowl, mix sliced apples, sugar, raisins, cinnamon, walnuts, and lemon juice.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Roll out the dough into a very thin sheet on a floured surface (or use phyllo sheets). Brush with melted butter, spread the apple filling evenly, leaving a border. Gently roll the dough into a log, tucking in the ends.

- Let cool slightly, dust with powdered sugar, and slice.
